Barbara Fontenot's Story
I am a former Ben Franklin teacher and coach, working with the Speech & Debate team to help develop leadership through speech. It is wonderful to see that the students of today are equally capable and motivated as those of the past. As the team is self-funding, any money earned can offset the cost of tournaments and expand the opportunities for our members. Our goal is to help provide funding for the LHSSL Tournament of Champions to be held in Lafayette, LA and the NCFL Grand Nationals in Chicago, Illinois over Memorial Weekend.
