Bringing HOPE to Area Youth
WHO DOES YOUR DONATION HELP?
Bring Hope Now is a nonprofit organization dedicated to SUICIDE PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, and POSTVENTION and MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION, focusing on youth and military/first responders in Okaloosa & Walton County. Founded in response to rising youth suicide rates, the group implemented peer-to-peer suicide prevention programs (formerly called Hope Squad) in all Okaloosa County School District schools between 2020-2022. That program, now called C.A.R.E. Crews, continues to be funded in part by Bring Hope Now, Inc.
Bring Hope Now’s 2026 mission includes expanding mental health resources thru:
- Establishing a YOUTH Residential Treatment Facility for Okaloosa & Walton Counties for adolescents under 18. This will bring longer-term treatment options close to home and reduce the strain on over 300 families per year facing an urgent mental health crises after their child has been placed under a voluntary or involuntary Baker Act Order.
- Advocating for mental health awareness by offering the QPR Gatekeeper Certification for suicide prevention to residents and businesses
- Growing the HOPE on the LINE military program for First Responders and colleges.
- Launching a Loss & Attempt Survivor Program to support families and organizations after a suicide or attempt.
- Partnering with others to build an Okaloosa-Walton County Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Bring Hope Now remains committed to supporting schools, families, service members, and our entire community with life-saving mental health resources.
This is all done with an aim to create sustainable, community-driven solutions for mental health challenges.
Bring Hope Now's major fundraiser event for the year is the Bring Hope Dragon Boat Race happening in 2026 on April 25th.
