Berkeley High School’s Women’s Soccer, led by second year Head Coach John Tamrat, features 60 phenomenal student-athletes across Varsity, JV and Frosh teams. We are committed to building on the phenomenal success of last year’s teams, using this season to grow on the field as soccer players and teammates and off the field as students and leaders.

As a large urban public school in challenging economic times, virtually all of our budget comes from donations from family, friends and the community to the non-profit Berkeley Athletic Fund. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we were finally able to buy covered benches, so we can stay warm and dry next time an atmospheric river arrives right before game time!

But we still desperately need your support to fund stipends for our amazing, hard-working coaches, including two members of the Cal Women’s Soccer team, to provide the latest technology to support our development, to make sure our equipment is functional and safe, and to update our uniforms to reflect the pride we have in our team and school.
