About Big and Tiny 10th Street Preschool

Big and Tiny 10th Street Preschool is a Spanish Dual-Language early childhood program serving children from 3 months to 6 years old in the heart of Santa Monica.

More than just a school, Big and Tiny is a vibrant, inclusive community where the “big” and the “tiny” come together in a shared journey of learning, love, and connection. Our mission is to cultivate kind, empathic, independent, curious, and intrinsically motivated learners who are eager to investigate, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

We believe in a balanced approach to early education — one that combines strong academic foundations with meaningful social-emotional learning. Alongside literacy, math, and critical thinking skills, we intentionally support relationship-building, emotional regulation, collaboration, and problem-solving. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded children who are not only prepared for kindergarten, but also equipped with the emotional intelligence needed to navigate life’s challenges — all within a dynamic Spanish Dual-Language setting.

About the Big and Tiny Scholarship Fund

At Big and Tiny, our mission has always been to nurture children in an environment filled with creativity, care, and belonging. Today, 15% of our current students receive financial aid, and we are incredibly proud to stand alongside these families.

As the need continues to grow, our goal is to ensure that every child who belongs in our community has the opportunity to thrive here. Scholarship funds directly support families through full and partial tuition assistance, making high-quality early childhood education more accessible.

The impact of giving is powerful:

• If all currently enrolled families gave a recurring donation of $100 per month, it would fund two full-ride scholarships for two families, or
• Provide meaningful tuition assistance for up to eight families

Giving is not limited to currently enrolled families. Alumni families, extended family and friends, community members, and local businesses are all invited to support the scholarship fund as a way to invest in early education and help sustain a diverse, inclusive school community for years to come.
