Comfort families of wounded soldiers and patients recovering from the massacres

We have an urgent request to put a Bikur Cholim RV in the parking lot of Ziv Medical Center in Tzfat. The medical center is absorbing many wounded soldiers from the northern border.

The RV is a project of Lev Chabad which is renovated as a hotel room and parked in a hospital lot connected to the hospital’s electricity and water. There are currently 30 wounded soldiers and their families camping in the hospital in Tzfat.

The cost of an RV is $50,000 which covers purchasing the RV, renovation and materials, a year of maintenance and insurance. Once the money is raised, it will take approximately 2 months to prepare each RV and set it up at the hospital.

The hospital is far enough away (up to a 4 hour drive) that family members find themselves with no choice but to just stay at the medical center. Many have been sleeping on the floor for days and sometimes weeks at a time.

You can fulfill the incredible mitzvot of Hachnasas Orchim, Bikur Cholim, Ahavat Chinam, and dozens of other mizvot involved in supporting the families of Israel’s wounded and grieving families. They are prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for us - let's make sure that we support them.

All donors will get updates, photos, and videos of our RV and thanks from the families and soldiers that we are helping.

What is Lev Chabad:

Lev Chabad operates in 27 of Israel’s hospitals with couples who live and work in the hospitals yearround. They provide counseling and comfort to patients and their families, create Shabbat for 700+ staff and patients every week, operate free coffee and food carts, distribute toys to children, among many other programs.

Four years ago, Lev Chabad undertook a project to build a Ronald McDonald style hotel at Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Since then, thousands of families have been hosted there for free. Two more hotels were built at Wolfson Hospital in Holon and Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

At hospitals that didn’t have space for such building projects, Lev Chabad spun off a “start-up” renovating Bikur Holim RVs and turning them into apartments in the parking lot. There are currently RVs at Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot, Hillel Yaffa in Chadera, Poriya in Tiveria, and 2 RVs in Asaf HaRofeh in Tzrifin.

Lev Chabad is a registered 501C3 organization and will provide tax-deductible receipts to every person who donates.
