The Back in the Day Committee is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of NoDa—from its mill village roots to its evolution as a vibrant arts district. Through storytelling, events, and community engagement, the committee captures the voices and experiences that define the neighborhood.

The committee meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7 PM at Industrious (436 E 36th St) and welcomes anyone interested in local history.

Signature programs include Drinks & Thinks, a casual speaker series featuring local stories and perspectives; photo exhibits hosted by NoDa businesses showcasing historic images; interviews and NoDa News articles that document firsthand accounts from longtime residents; and the Spring History Walk, an opportunity to explore NoDa’s past through guided tours.

Each October, the committee also hosts the annual Ghosts & Legends Walking Tours, bringing NoDa’s history and folklore to life.

Donations support research, storytelling, exhibits, and community programming—helping preserve NoDa’s history for future generations.
