Main Street Cats

For years my friend has been successfully finding homes for cats born outside in her location until this summer.  Three mama cats she was fostering left their 15 kittens on her back porch.  Most of the now half-grown kittens appear in this photo. Some can be picked up, but the vast majority do not trust humans.  The SPCA will not take them unless they are domesticated.  Shelters and animal control will trap the kittens, but will also kill them if they are not adopted.

My friend has always worked to rescue cats during her 35 year career as a Foreign Affairs Officer with the U.S. Department of State and continues to help cats now in her retirement in Virginia.  She is willing to foster and try to find homes, and/or, keep them as pets, but fears she cannot handle the population explosion of kittens that will come in the spring of 2025 when these babies have babies.

The necessary procedures are costly and we at CPR-escue would like to support these cats, and raise the funds needed, as well support with funds toward food costs.  Food donations can also be made directly through our Amazon page.

We know there are many areas of the world in need currently, where you might donate.  In this case, you would be helping to keep cats safe/safer by curbing the over-population of kittens that end-up living horrible lives because shelters are over-full, rescuers are fatigued, and costs can be exorbitant.

CPR-escue uses GiveButter's secure platform, which links directly to our legal non-profit.
