The Blanket Project is part of a community service project led by students in the service-learning class at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. The project is to make around 15-20 blankets to donate to homeless shelters in Upstate South Carolina.

With the cold weather season approaching, shelters are in more need than ever of clothing, blanket, and food donations. We are hoping to do our part as members of the Upstate community and provide these shelters with homemade blankets. We want to show these shelters that we care, that we are looking out for them, and that we want to provide comfort to those who so often go without any.

We are hoping to gather these funds by December 1st so we can purchase the materials we need to make the blankets before wintertime. It would mean so much to us if you could donate even just a little to help make a difference in someone's life. When the months get really cold, a blanket can often mean a world of difference to someone who has not roof over their head. It provides much-needed comfort. We are very grateful for any donation, no matter how small.
