Thank you so much for your generous donation to Casa Mateo. Your gift allows us the opportunity to provide Hope through Hospitality to displaced immigrants and asylum seekers in the city of Houston.

The right to seek asylum is a human right protected under our laws. Asylum seekers are often fleeing violence, corruption and/or life threatening poverty. Many asylum seekers arrive here with no possessions or access to critical resources, including lodging. Women and children are exceptionally vulnerable and make up a vast number of this population. The demand for shelter and resources to serve these individuals far outweighs availability.

With your help, Casa Mateo will provide temporary shelter and services to asylum seekers including access to health care, legal services, ESL classes, job training and assistance, and more.
