Are you passionate about food access issues, and want to support older community members in Marin experiencing nutrition insecurity? We’re raising $5,000 to save AIM’s “Senior Bonus Bucks” program, administered in partnership with the Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative as part of our COVID relief efforts.

If you can contribute $5, $25, $100, or even $5,000 to keep this program going, we would be so grateful!

Each week, AIM brings farm-fresh produce to senior housing sites through our Rollin’ Root Mobile Market, supporting residents who otherwise have difficulty accessing fresh foods. One way we make this food accessible is by providing “Senior Bonus Bucks”, a $60 voucher booklet that older adult shoppers of limited income can use toward Rollin’ Root produce or when shopping at AIM’s Marin Civic Center, Downtown San Rafael, and Point Reyes Farmers markets.

Unfortunately, state funding is no longer available for this incentive program. We need to raise $5,000 to support 83 older adult shoppers by the end of July.

A gift of any size can make a huge difference, and every penny will go directly to older adult shoppers.

And, in a beautiful chain reaction, your gift will also support local farmers when shoppers use their vouchers (Rollin’ Root sales go directly back to farmers). In 2020, AIM redeemed over 5,386 Bonus Bucks and paid $21,500 to farmers.
