I'm someone who, in the midst of my own pain and marginalization, tries to create space for myself and others like me to come together, as I did when I created Black Girl Dangerous and the BGD blog.

At this moment, as a Black woman living in the Connecticut River Valley, I'm in need of access to spaces where I can seek healing and connection with the support of other Black women, and I'm not the only one, not by far. Many Black women are deeply disconnected here. Over the last couple of years, I've become painfully aware of our collective need for safe spaces where we can seek wellness--emotionally, socially and spiritually--and I'm eager to help create those spaces. Will you join me in this goal?

BOUNTIFUL LIFE: Healing & Happiness for Black Women is a non-profit community project that provides workshops, healing circles, gatherings, talks and other programming centered around the emotional, social, and spiritual health and wellness of Black women in this community, with an emphasis on queer women, women over 40, and mothers of young children.
