Every year, the Box Dweller Challenge brings our community together with one voice to raise awareness for the countless stories of homelessness happening all around us—stories that are often unheard, unseen, and overlooked.

But behind every box is a person.
And behind every donation is a chance to rewrite someone’s future.

Like Ben and Sarah*—a couple who came to HOPE Calloway after spending months sleeping in their truck. They had both been working, trying their best, but rising rent prices and a medical emergency knocked them off their feet. Through the support of people like you, we are able to offer them a safe place to stay, one-on-one support, financial coaching, and the time they needed to get back on solid ground.

This year, more than ever, we need your help.

With tighter budgets, decreased giving and grant funding, and an unsteady economy, we’re feeling the pressure. Meanwhile, the need in our community continues to grow—and just like everything else, the cost of helping others has gone up.

At the same time, our mission has never been more urgent.

How You Can Help:

Each Box Dweller has committed to spending 4, 6, or 8 hours in a cardboard box to raise awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness. By donating to a Box Dweller’s campaign, you’re making a real difference for families in our community who need shelter, support, and a path forward.
