Hi, my name is Jessica Poore and I am one of the fighters brawling for Hands United! Hands United is a nonprofit organization fighting against human trafficking that provides a restorative housing program for underaged survivors. 

Life doesn’t give a perfect scenario, so it is up to us to control the outcome of it! That’s why we tend to give ourselves heroes to look up to and for me that hero was my father, who was a professional boxer in Israel. Two and a half years ago I lost him to a heart attack, but he taught me that fighting was a form of defending myself and to never let anyone stand in the way of what I believed in.

May 2nd I will be fighting for the victims and survivors, but I will also be fighting in my father’s memory. I couldn’t think of a better opportunity to make him proud and be a part of something that I know is worth fighting for.
