A vicious cycle

Substance use disorders don’t appear out of nowhere. They’re complex patterns of behavior with equally complex causes. When we treat only the behavior, we may see short-term improvement, but the cycles are likely to repeat themselves.

Effective recovery takes into account residents’ social networks, their mental wellness, domestic challenges, access to housing, and their employment opportunities.

For men struggling with substance use disorders, it’s not just about treatment—it’s about education and healing.

A proven method since 1981

Over the years Covenant Community has helped thousands of men heal, reconnect with their families, and find employment.

During that time, it has also expanded to include support for families and community programming designed to facilitate conversation and prevention… because where substance use disorders are concerned, the best defense is a good offense.

Residential Treatment helps men stabilize their lives inside a therapeutic community that includes case management services, individual and group counseling, health and wellness opportunities, career development, 12-Step programming, spirituality, and all other pathways to recovery.

Men of Hope is a community of residential program graduates who provide one another with insight, inspiration, and accountability, while also inspiring others on their recovery journeys.

Families of Hope, launched in 2023, supports and educates family members about the recovery process, helping heal their relationships so they can provide engaged and effective support.

Recovery Resources of Atlanta–Midtown (RRAM) is the only Recovery Community Organization in Midtown. It provides a wide range of peer recovery supports for men and women, so that no matter where they are in their recovery journeys, they have a community of experienced peers to help guide their next steps.

The opposite of addiction is connection

In so many ways, substance use disorders are diseases of isolation. Therefore, effective treatment must prioritize community.
