In the City of Los Angeles where homeownership is a fleeting dream, and even renting an apartment is burdensome, low-income families struggle even more to meet basic needs. The average family income of the 2,799 family households Bresee served last year was $22,438.

Over the last three years, Bresee has prevented thousands of families from becoming homeless by connecting them with over $23 million in emergency rental assistance, grocery gift cards, and prepaid debit cards. Even though the pandemic ended this past May, the needs in our community remain high.
