The Prospect Hill Community Foundation is dedicated to providing after-school enrichment to the youth of the Prospect Hill Terrace community in Waltham, MA.

Our flagship After-School Program is a safe and welcoming space for up to 40 participants daily, operating Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters. This program offers more than just homework help - it provides healthy snacks, engaging art, reading, and STEM activities, and invaluable social-emotional support. Children build lasting relationships with local university students, fondly referred to as their “college buddies,” while benefiting from the guidance of our compassionate program director, who collaborates closely with families to tailor support to each child’s unique needs and interests. With over 90% student retention, the program continues to be a vital source of joy, growth, and connection for our participants, who consistently highlight making new friends and spending time with their “college buddies” as the best parts of their experience.

Your Giving Tuesday donation makes a difference.
It allows us to continue offering this essential programming free of charge while maintaining high-quality staff and creating a nurturing environment for young minds. Your generosity enables us to provide impactful, engaging activities that support the mind, body, and spirit of every child in our program.

Our annual program budget is just $42,000, which means every contribution - large or small - creates meaningful impact.

$25 provides art and classroom supplies for a week
$100 supports one child’s programming for a week
$500 helps keep our after-school center open and staffed
$1,000 sponsors enrichment programming for all 40 kids for a week

This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise $4,000, enough to support one full month of programming for all our youth.

Prospect Hill Terrace is home to over 140 families, many of whom are single-parent households with annual incomes of less than $23,000. By donating today, you’re sustaining our programs and directly supporting families who rely on these vital services.

Our work is made possible through innovative public-private partnerships with organizations like Bentley University, Brandeis University, and the City of Waltham, as well as the generosity of donors like you.
