One hundred years ago, a movement began.

In 1926, historian and educator Carter G. Woodson founded Negro History Week, planting the seeds for what would later become Black History Month. That movement transformed education, inspired cultural awareness, and created global recognition of Black contributions to history.

Now, 100 years later, Bronze Magic carries that legacy forward.

Bronze Magic is more than an event—it is a living cultural platform designed to educate, inspire, and preserve Black history through the arts.

Through fashion, performance, visual storytelling, and youth engagement, we are ensuring that the stories, achievements, and voices that shaped our communities are not forgotten—but celebrated, experienced, and passed to future generations.

ART ROW is more than an exhibition.

2026 Honoree: Josephine Baker

The 2026 Bronze Magic Festival proudly honors Josephine Baker—an artist, activist, and global icon whose life embodied courage, creativity, and freedom.

A century ago, Baker left the United States and rose to international fame in France, breaking barriers and redefining Black excellence on the world stage.

Her legacy includes:

Becoming an international entertainment superstar
Championing artistic freedom and civil rights
Working alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Adopting 12 children known as her “Rainbow Tribe”
Receiving France’s highest honor—the Legion of Honor
