Dear Brooklin Friends,

As our community and our entire country continue to ride a wave of uncertainty created by an unprecedented pandemic, the Brooklin Parents, Teachers, and Friends (PTF) stands ready to support our communities’ teachers, staff, students, and families. While the country as a whole realizes just how vital schools are to the health and well-being of our developing community members, we must also put a local focus on supporting our school to succeed. The path to success is working together as a community, and we need your help!

In 2021, the PTF continued to focus on student wellness with its backpack food program at an elevated level of support to meet the increased need brought on by the pandemic. Nearly 70% of the students benefited from this program that provided food for long weekends, vacations, or school shutdowns. PTF also provides daily snacks at school and needed supplies for a child to thrive in an academic environment.

The PTF also worked closely with staff to provide them with access to additional professional development, community resources, and supplies. All of these opportunities continue to enrich the Brooklin School experience.

“Re-opening in the fall of 2020, I appreciated all the little and big things PTF provided like: lunches during staff workshop days, a porta-potty near our outside classroom space, and extra supplies to help with COVID precautions. PTF volunteers have gardened and crafted with us....and last year coordinated soccer for everyone- including the littlest students!” -- Julie Wilson, Pre-k Teacher

“Students at the Brooklin School enjoy opportunities and experiences that would not be possible without the support from our PTF. When a teacher like myself or my colleagues has an idea to enrich the learning of students, our PTF is the first to support us.” --Julia Baird, K/1 Teacher

“Ever since its inception, Brooklin School PTF has been amazing in supporting our Athletic program. They have helped purchase much-needed equipment including updated uniforms and have been very generous in hosting and funding our sports banquets. Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold our annual silent auction that financially supports the PTF. The proceeds from the annual appeal will, once again, be the primary source of income supporting all the projects PTF needs to do in 2022.
