Education is not something that is equitable in Chicago by any actual stretch. As a career educator, opportunities like the ones provided by entities like Big Shoulders work to ensure students from all over the city have a chance for success and achievement. As an educator I see the good that this incredible group does, and the opportunities it provides for so many Chicago students. My hope is that by running and raising funds for Big Shoulders we can continue to help further this mission for good.
