Hello! My name is Keira Gallagher, and I am a member of the National Honor Society at Park City High School. I am excited to be a part of an organization that truly makes a difference in the world. This year, the annual NHS 5K will rely on pledges to reach our charitable goals. I, along with all other NHS members, will be collecting donations from friends and family for the run on May 24th, 2025. This year I am choosing to run in honor of those who have paid the ultimate price to protect our freedoms. Every year, this event allows us to honor those we have lost, while supporting amazing causes. While I do not have any personal connections to Memorial Day or the losses that many have been through, by participating in the fundraiser, I hope to learn more about everyone's unique perspectives on what this day means to them. My goal is to raise $500 through pledges, which our National Honor Society will use to fund our Indigenous shelter construction project in Colombia, and the Artificial reef restoration project in Bali this summer. As well as nonprofits like Labs for Liberty and the Homeless Youth Center in Salt Lake. Please consider helping us out!
