A Home For Every Child

The Opportunity

With more than 500,000 children in the US foster care system, 350,000 of whom are up for adoption, there is a tremendous opportunity to give a child a loving home. Fost/adopt refers to a process where parental rights have been terminated and the child will stay in the foster care system until they turn 18. Adoption through this process is often much less expensive than other types of adoptions and can cost under $1,000. This not only minimizes costs for adoptive families but also helps taxpayers who would otherwise be responsible for the financial burden of caring for these children. Despite the savings, many foster care children still experience what is referred to as "Black Trash Bag Day," where on their 18th birthday they are handed a black trash bag and told to pack all their belongings. Adoption is an incredible way to build a family and change a child's life. With the help of adoption agencies committed to helping those in need, creating a new family has never been easier. By providing a safe and secure environment, adoptive families make a lasting impact that can shape a child's future.

The Solution
With more than 350,000 congregations in the United States today, there is great potential to make a positive impact on the lives of foster children. Our goal is to have every congregation find at least one family to adopt a child out of the foster care system. To achieve this, we have partnered with churches and specialized adoption agencies to provide education, support, and resources to prospective adoptive families. We believe that if just one percent of these 350,000 children are adopted and grow up feeling inspired, as I was when I was adopted and loved at 16, then that would lead to 3,500 adults out making a difference in the world! It is an incredible goal that we can all work towards together.

Here is how you can help!

1.) Donations as we are a non-profit. These proceeds go to help churches and adoption agencies find the families for these children.

2.) People to share their adoption out of the Foster care system stories with us.

3.) Connections to churches and adoption agencies to help spread the word!

Thank you for your partnership!!
