On her drive home from Missouri to Colorado, Laura, a fellow animal lover, spotted a tiny kitten, hurt and barely moving on the side of the road. He had likely been struck by a car and left behind from a discarded barn litter.

Laura couldn’t leave him there. She scooped him up, wrapped him in a blanket, and named him Bump, short for Speed Bump, a name that captures both his story and his incredible will to survive.

Bump’s injuries are serious. He’ll need surgery to amputate one of his legs, but with proper care and love, he can live a happy, healthy life. A local Missouri veterinarian has agreed to help, and Hayden Animal Wellness Foundation is stepping in to cover his medical expenses.
