For several years, Bunker Hill ES/PTO has partnered with DC Strings Workshop to host music lessons for youth. With hundreds of hours of instruction and group lessons, our youth are learning how to play an instrument and critical executive functioning and life skills in studying an instrument.

Serving more than 200 students, this program provides high-quality music instruction to young people in guitar, piano, strings, voice, dance, and more. We could not do this without a dedicated team of teaching artists, staff members, and the support of our community.

DC Strings Workshop, and various DC Government agencies support this program, but we need your help. To expand the program to more students, purchase new instruments for every student, and promptly compensate our teaching staff -- we need your help to cover rising additional costs.

With your support, we will add additional workshops (during-school/after-school), classes, and opportunities for our students to perform in the community. Thank you for your support.
