The popular “Keep It Local” Community & Business Expo is back in our district! Save the date for Saturday, October 19th, 2024, for this fun and engaging event. It’s free to the public and a successful fundraiser for the Education Foundation. This year, the Expo will again take place at Hampden Academy, utilizing both the Gymnasium and the Dining Commons, with space for nearly 100 vendors. The Expo runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with setup for exhibitors starting at 7 a.m. Check out the insert for the exhibitor registration form.
This event is perfect for networking, finding customers, or hiring new employees. It’s open to the public at no charge, and any business or not-for-profit organization offering services or goods to the public is encouraged to participate. Whether you sell farm products, run a health or dog-grooming business, work in banking, automotive, or medical fields, manage a community service organization, or represent an art studio, school club, home repair, or religious service, you’re welcome to join! We aim to showcase the diversity and breadth of our community’s products and services, promoting local purchasing and networking, all while supporting education in RSU 22.
The last Expo in 2019 featured over 80 exhibitors and attracted more than 200 community members. The most prominent categories included Wellness & Health, Food & Farm, Industrial & Construction, and Education & Nonprofit. Attendees enjoyed sampling products, winning prizes, receiving SWAG, and dining on vendor-provided lunches from places like Coffee Break Café. The event raised over $3,000, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting education.
Exhibitor rates start at $65, (nonprofits and school organizations can participate for free). Preference is given to organizations in the four district towns or businesses where a principal resides in the district.
