A few years ago, Alzheimer's touched the life of one of my oldest and dearest friends, Karen Jones. Karen’s mom, Kathy Laney, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. She was only 56 at the time of her diagnosis. Karen and I cried together and I did my best to stay positive. After hearing the news, I knew I had to do whatever it took to support my friend and be strong for her so she could be strong for her mom and family. Now, Alzheimer's has touched my life as well. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2017. Because of my involvement with BvB Dallas, I was able to find the right doctors for my grandmother and help my family through this difficult time.

This year, I'm serving on the Board of Directors for BvB Dallas. I'm so excited for this new opportunity and to be back for my 6th season to help raise money for research to develop effective treatments and, hopefully, a cure for Alzheimer's.
