The beginning of motherhood is a pivotal season, especially for young moms navigating parenting, education, work, and adulthood all at once. In Atlanta, the economic barriers facing single mothers are significant: a 2022 analysis of 2019 Census data found that approximately 71% of Atlanta’s single mothers lived below the poverty line.

But circumstances do not have to determine a mother’s future.

Through BYT, The Mom Community invests in the whole mom by building life skills, parenting confidence, financial and career readiness, mental wellness, and the support needed to create lasting stability.

When we invest in a mom, we invest in her children, her family, and generations to come. BYT helps interrupt cycles of generational poverty by creating pathways for young moms to not simply survive motherhood, but thrive in it.
