When I was seven, I immigrated with my parents to Hawai’i from the Philippines. As an immigrant, my journey is about being steadfast in the face of adversity and honoring the hopes and sacrifices of my relatives and extended ‘ohana—striving for a good life and brighter future for our community.
The Legal Clinic is not only committed to assisting individuals who seek legal assistance, it also uplifts the entire community intimes of crises—during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath of the Maui wildfires.
I am deeply grateful to the founders who established TLC and the board members, staff, volunteers, and donors who sustain the organization.
