At The Formation Project, we empower survivors of human trafficking through services, advocacy, and community. Based in Charleston, we help adults and young survivors find safety, stability, and hope through trauma-informed care and legal support.

Our name comes from the way female elephants protect one another—forming a circle around the vulnerable and celebrating new life. That’s what we do too: when survivors are vulnerable, we get in formation.
