The mission of Texas Bay Area Lacrosse (Baylax) is to offer boys and girls the opportunity to play the game of lacrosse in the greater Texas bay area. We are dedicated to creating a family environment that allows our athletes to develop as lacrosse players and as positive contributors to our community.

Our vision is to grow boy’s and girl’s lacrosse in the Texas bay area to a level comparable to other sports in the community.

Your donation will directly benefit the lacrosse players by offsetting the costs associated with operating a successful program for the Baylax youth and high school boys and girls Clear Springs Chargers teams by helping pay for field rentals and maintenance, equipment, referees and scholarships. Baylax focuses on developing strong youth players with the goal of advancing those players onto our high school teams.

Self-confidence in a positive environment

While we focus heavily on building players skills, our primary focus is building our athletes self-confidence. A self-confident athlete excels on the field as well as in school and in the community.

Coaches and mentors

Our coaches and volunteers have a passion for the game of lacrosse and they are driven to have a positive impact on the lives of the athletes they work with. An emphasis is placed on making sure our players commit to becoming high character scholar athletes.

Team Practices

Our team practices consist of a balanced approach towards developing skills, team concepts and lacrosse IQ. Our coaches put their collective experience and expertise into developing practice plans and drills that get the most out of each practice situation.

OUR MODEL

Learn

Beginners are offered an easily accessible way to try the sport at an introductory level. Players train to improve lacrosse skills and overall athletic ability.

Play

Intermediate players participate at a recreational level and aspire to play in high school. Players train to play local games.

Compete

Advanced players play at a competitive level, aspiring to play in high school and college. Players train to play in competitive leagues and tournaments.
