The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 39 year old non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana. You probably know MAPS because we pioneered MDMA-assisted therapy for the treatment of PTSD, the first psychedelic drug and therapy combination to reach the final stage of the FDA New Drug Application process. Through our core programs of Education, Policy & Advocacy, and Research, MAPS provides free education on safer psychedelic use, identifies the highest impact opportunities for creating legal access, and mobilizes enthusiasts and advocates to take action.
