South Metro Professional Firefighters Foundation's Story

The passage of Coloradoโ€™s Proposition 122, which decriminalizes the therapeutic use of certain plant medicines has provided access to healing modalities formerly unavailable to first responders. These options have provided success where talk therapy, prescription medicine, and self medicating with alcohol have been unsuccessful or harmful and not addressed the underlying issues. First Responders have found success in healing at Do Good Ranch in Colorado. Do Good Ranch's mission is to provide a supportive space for personal growth and self-improvement through transformative retreat experiences. By reconnecting with nature and incorporating a variety of technologies, wellness modalities, and the wisdom of educated facilitators and elders, participants are empowered to enhance their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. The South Metro Professional Firefighters Foundation is an advocate for supporting Colorado's First Responder's opportunity to heal in this supportive and responsible environment. Please support this effort as we join veterans and civilians in advocating for the right to heal in response to the service we provided to our communities.
