Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit with a mission to end child homelessness in Hawai’i. Serving over 1,600 homeless children annually across O'ahu, Maui, and the Big Island, the organization provides life-changing year-round support through educational programs, mentorship, outreach, and emergency services. Since 2003, Project Hawai’i, Inc. has successfully helped more than 2,000 children break the cycle of poverty, empowering them to build stable and secure futures.

In a groundbreaking initiative, Project Hawai’i, Inc. became the first nonprofit in Hawai’i to open a dormitory specifically for homeless young women pursuing higher education. This dormitory gives young ladies the chance to attend college in a safe and supportive environment, furthering their education and life prospects without the burden of homelessness holding them back.

One of the core programs that sets Project Hawai’i, Inc. apart is its teen mentorship initiative. Through tailored mentoring and leadership development, teens are provided with the tools and guidance to discover their passions, set goals, and build meaningful lives. The program focuses on helping them find their life’s purpose, develop life skills, and become leaders in their communities. Additionally, the nonprofit offers internship opportunities that prepare teens for the workforce and allow them to gain hands-on experience in fields that inspire them to pursue positive change.

Entirely funded by public donations, Project Hawai’i, Inc. stands as a beacon of hope for homeless children, driven by its core belief in the power of education, mentorship, and community support to transform lives.
