At Domestic Abuse Project (DAP), we are dedicated to protecting and preventing future victims of intimate partner violence. This organization does incredible work in the Twin Cities community, and I’ve been honored to serve on the board of directors this past year.

DAP is the only domestic violence organization in the Twin Cities that provides care for both those who use harm and those who experience harm. Our model is extremely effective—90% of participants who came to us for using harm in their relationships do not use harm again within one year, and 67% do not use harm again within five years. This is a systems change, and DAP is providing a sustainable solution to violence reduction in our community.

I’m personally raising $500 to help pay for one youth to receive a year of child-parent psychotherapy services, helping them form healthy attachments and preventing future violence. By intentionally supporting youth in this way, we can break the cycle of generational trauma. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful for your support in helping me reach this goal.

Additionally, I’ll be giving a speech at the event on the impact of domestic violence on youth, an issue that I’m deeply committed to and passionate about addressing. Thank you again for your help!
