At Domestic Abuse Project (DAP), we build communities free from violence by providing holistic healing for every member of the family. This organization does incredible work in the Twin Cities community. I had the opportunity to volunteer, and work part-time, with DAP nearly 20 years ago and joined the board in 2024. I have stayed close to the organization over the years and am continually impressed by the dedication of the staff, the impact to the community, and the critical importance of the work.

DAP is the only domestic violence organization in the Twin Cities that provides care for both those who use harm and those who experience harm. Our model is extremely effective—90% of participants who came to us for using harm in their relationships do not use harm again within one year, and 67% do not use harm again within five years. This is a systems change, and DAP is providing a sustainable solution to violence reduction in our community.
