I am currently serving on the Board of First Shift Justice Project – a truly inspiring organization that helps low wage working parents and caregivers assert their workplace rights. I am really passionate about this cause because no one should have to choose between holding a baby and holding a job! 

This year is our ten year anniversary as an organization and we are excited to celebrate it at our annual fundraiser DANCE LIKE A MOTHER!  This community driven dance party will be on May 17, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Wunder Garten, 1101 First St. NE, Washington D.C. 20002. An amazing line-up of local DJs is coming to play all. night. long. at this family-friendly event! Kids are welcome until 8 p.m. 

Please consider coming out to dance with me AND/OR making a donation! We operate on a slim budget. Our annual event raises money to make a difference on the ground - allowing us to provide direct legal services, engage in community outreach, train medical providers, and advocate for better laws and enforcement for working caregivers. I would really appreciate any contribution you can make and would enjoy the chance to dance with you in person.
