👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Ties
The competition's LONE actual family!  This crew doesn’t just show up for Family Feud — they’ve been showing up for Montclair for two generations, volunteering and serving on boards of Blue Wave, Bike Montclair, Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris Counties (MHAEC), Senior Care and the Montclair Foundation.  Family Ties is a powerhouse foursome competing to raise vital funds for Montclair’s incredible students, teachers, and schools.

⚽🚲 Kay Sarlin Wright and Ted Wright, parents of three Bullock students, have raced in multiple MFEE Amazing FundRACERS — and their journey started with a cold call. After reading about Ted’s passion for biking and making Montclair more bike-friendly, MFEE’s Executive Director recruited them on the spot. Now they're trading pedals for buzzers - while also coaching soccer, leading Girl Scout troops, volunteering at the animal shelter, in schools - and for MFEE!

🎬✨Susan and Albie Hecht, Kay's parents and not-so-secret weapons.  They're also co-founders of Shine Global, an Academy award winning non-profit that improves the lives of children by making films that tell powerful stories that raise awareness, promote action, and inspire change. ‘

📚🧡 Susan is also an MFEE tutor for the bilingual after school program Oruguitas, where she shares stories with students who eagerly read along with her — and adore every page.

And at the heart of it all is Boone, the Wrights’ new puppy and honorary fifth team member, keeping morale (and tail wags) high.
