Meow Parlour opened its doors in December 2014 and gained attention for its innovative approach to cat adoption. The idea behind Meow Parlour is to provide a space where people can enjoy the company of cats in a relaxed and cozy environment while also giving these cats a chance to find their forever homes.

Meow Parlour has made a positive impact by raising awareness about cat adoption, providing a unique experience for visitors, and contributing to the well-being of cats in need.

Why a new space?

Our current space has served us well, but as we've grown over the years, we've hit a point where we need more room to continue our mission of helping cats in need.

Since inception in 2014, we have dedicated our resources to help over 2,000 cats find homes. This has included cats with physical disabilities, cats from unusual backgrounds, orphaned neonatal kittens, senior cats, and cats who need a special advocate in their corner due to their behavior.

In 2018, we became our own rescue and adoption group, Meow Parlour Cats, Inc. This transition enabled us to simplify our adoption process, leading to increased success in finding loving homes for our cats.

In 2021, we were fortunate to secure additional space above Meow Parlour, allowing us to streamline our cat intake process and create a VIP room for cats with specific needs and a treatment room. This expansion led to another significant increase in our adoption rate by 130%. Through our New Hope Partnership with the Animal Care Centers of NYC and partnerships with rescues across the South and with the help of our dedicated staff and foster homes, we take in and adopt out about 400 cats a year.

As our current lease comes to an end, we've found ourselves at a crossroads – a thrilling decision that brings both risks and opportunities. Do we stay on the tried-and-true path, saving 400 cats a year, or do we set our sights higher, aiming to make an even greater impact by helping more cats than ever before?

After nine years of uniting a wonderful community of cat lovers, we've decided that, together, we can achieve more. We've successfully secured a new space near our current location.

The proposed new space will include a significantly larger parlor, providing room for 50% more cats available for adoption. We also plan to have several VIP rooms to cater to cats who can’t mingle with other cats, as well as a larger treatment room.

This expansion will not only benefit our feline residents and significantly increase the number of cats we can help, but also allow us to accommodate more cat lovers and host more events like yoga classes and educational talks.

Remembrance wall story (several available) $600 each: your cat story will be affixed under a shelf on our remembrance wall.
Booth (1 available) $5k each: sponsor and name a booth in the main cat parlor.
VIP Room (1 available) $5K: a VIP room is meant for cats who are adoptable but cannot roam free with other cats, because of their health status or temperament. Sponsoring a VIP room will allow you to name it and support cats who are harder to adopt.
Kennel ( 5 available) $1k each: we use kennels for intake and to house newer cats at night in order to monitor their eating and litter box habits.
Cat Parlour (1 ~~available~~) $20k each: The free-roaming area will be open to visitors and can be divided into two spaces for events.
