The Story of Mistletoe Market 🎄✨

My dad—better known to many as Tom—built this building nearly 25 years ago to provide storage space for my mama and me. What started as something simple quickly became so much more. It turned into a gathering place for our community, full of fellowship, friendship, and special memories.

Dad was known for hosting his Men’s Night Suppers at The Den every month. It was a space that brought people together in ways we could never have imagined.

When glioblastoma brain cancer took my dad from us in June of 2020, his presence and his legacy lived on—especially inside Tom’s Den. If you visit today, you’ll see the walls lined with memorabilia from my family, even keepsakes from my dad’s great-great-grandfather, each piece carrying its own unique story.

I often wonder what Dad would think of the Mistletoe Market and all the ladies filling Tom’s Den with holiday cheer. What I do know is that he would be smiling down, proud to see his space once again brimming with love, laughter, and community.

The Mistletoe Market began as a small idea I had while staring at an empty Den. Now, four years later, it has grown into a cherished holiday tradition. I can’t wait to see Tom’s Den filled again with joy as we celebrate the fourth annual Mistletoe Market.

✨ And the best part? All proceeds benefit the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization, a nonprofit that provides over $200,000 in scholarships to young women across our state each year. Together, we are not only honoring my dad’s legacy but also empowering the next generation of leaders.
