Now in its sixth year, this immersive and transformative event brings together over 400 public defense professionals committed to equity, accountability, and systemic change. Attendees come from more than 250 public defender offices across the country-–all united by a shared mission: to challenge racial injustice and ensure dignity and fairness for all.

This year, we’re introducing Rooted to Rise, an exclusive celebration dinner and evening keynote featuring Bryan Stevenson! As part of that exclusive event, we're also doing a celebration book in digital form and in a limited print copy. While the sponsorship and program booklet window has closed, we're leaving this page up through the end of the conference in case you want to continue to donate. It's important to note, though, any donations after 10/13/25 won't be included in the program booklet or other correspondence. However, your donation will still appear on the Give Butter wall if you choose to display it!
