After my girls were grown and flown, I looked for a way to volunteer my time and because of my love for our own pugs—one of them a rescue, I reached out to Pug Rescue of Florida and Georgia. Now 3.5 years later I find myself on the Board and spending most of my free (and not so free) time helping pugs find a forever home.
The rescue has been around for 21 years and saved thousands of pugs. Last year we took in 165 precious pugs and our medical bills were $300,000! (We’ve already taken in 39 this year). We all work nonstop to give these dogs the medical care and help they need before finding them forever homes where they won’t be discarded and forgotten—but we can’t do it without donations and support.
For the rescue's 20th anniversary of Pugsgiving, we have a goal of raising $20,000. If you are able, please consider donating; no amount is too small when it comes to saving lives. Thank you for reading!
