HYU Spiritual Life & Learning Society will be celebrating our 13^th Year in November. Each year we celebrate through offering a 2-day community event that focuses on leadership & techniques for spiritual health & wellbeing. This year we are being courageous & doing an End of Year Fundraising Campaign starting with a soft launch in October. Our theme this year is “Be Courageously Powerful.”

We are using our celebration to raise awareness & funds. All proceeds from this event will go toward our mission, current services, programs & expansion. I am writing to ask you to support this effort.

As we approach the close of this year, we are filled with gratitude for the sacred space we have cultivated. Our temple has become a sanctuary where individuals come to learn, grow, and connect with their inner world & inner selves. Through our teachings of self-study, spiritual health, and ethical living, we have seen countless transformations in our community.

The path to spiritual enlightenment is a personal one, yet it thrives within a collective environment of support, guidance and love. We are committed to maintaining and expanding this sacred space for all who seek peace, understanding and ethical teachings.

Rental & Maintenance of Sacred Space
Our physical space is crucial to the energy of our practice. Funds will be allocated to having a dedicated space and the beautification of our sacred space, ensuring that it remains a sanctuary of peace and reverence for all.
Expanding Programming
We aim to introduce online community portal, spiritual learning house and special programs on topics such as energy healing, ethical living, and spiritual empowerment. Your support will allow us to bring in expert teachers and expand our spiritual educational outreach.
Community Outreach
In addition to serving our current members, we want to reach out to those in need. Your contribution will help us provide free or subsidized access to our teachings for individuals from underserved communities.
Sustaining Our Day-to-Day Operations
Running a temple involves ongoing costs—staff, utilities, supplies, and more. Your donation ensures that we can maintain the daily operations that allow us to continue offering services, words of power and guidance.

Our Goals for 2026

As we enter the new year, we have set specific fundraising goals to ensure that our vision of growth and expansion becomes a reality:

Goal 1: $46,500 for Rental & Maintenance of Sacred Space
- Rental space, overhead, equipment & materials
- Technology (website, subscriptions, materials)
Goal 2: $165,740 to Support Programming & New Initiatives
- Offering new spiritual learning house, online community portal and guest teachers focused on self-study, spiritual empowerment and ethical living.
- Providing access to teachings for individuals who may not be able to afford the full cost of classes.
Goal 3: $10,000 for Community Outreach & Community Support
- Expand & maintain communication & relationship with local & online community
