For more than 75 years, the Durham Center for Senior Life (DCSL) has been a pillar of support for older adults, evolving to meet the growing and diverse needs of our aging community. Founded in 1949 as the Golden Age Society, DCSL has grown into a Certified North Carolina Center of Excellence, providing free programs, essential services, and social connections that empower more than 6,000 older adults 55+ annually to lead healthy, independent, and engaged lives.

This special celebration brings together community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters who share a passion for honoring Durham’s legacy and strengthening programs that support older adults today.
