Education has the power to transform lives. As a first-generation college graduate, I know firsthand how life-changing a college degree can be. Thanks to the generosity of those who believed in me, I was able to pursue my dreams. Now, it’s my turn to pay it forward.

I’m joining the Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) Annual Giving Campaign to raise $10,000 scholarships for four first-generation, college-bound senior girls graduating from Del Valle High School’s Class of 2025.

By donating, you’re not just funding education—you’re investing in the future of women. You’re breaking down barriers, providing mentorship, and creating opportunities for young women to lead, thrive, and give back to their communities.

Malala Yousafzai once said "One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world." – I would add to this quote that one donation can change the HER world. Let’s invest in the future of women together!

Austin FC fans, this is your chance to own a piece of Verde history while making a real impact in our community! YWA is auctioning off an official Austin FC jersey signed by the entire team, with 100% of the proceeds supporting our First-Gen College Scholarship Program with Austin-area Del Valle HS. This scholarship helps young women in Austin become the first in their families to attend college; breaking barriers and building brighter futures together.

YWA is supporting Del Valle HS as part of its commitment to empowering first-generation college-bound students in Austin. Del Valle HS serves a diverse student population, with many students coming from historically underserved communities. By focusing on these students, YWA is helping to break down financial and systemic barriers to higher education, ensuring that young women have access to the resources, mentorship, and scholarships they need to succeed in college and beyond.

We're off on YWA's 5th Annual Giving Campaign! We're raising $40,000 for first-generation college-bound students from local Del Valle High School.
