For more than 20 years, OperaLex and the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre have worked together to build one of the best academic opera programs and ensure that our community has a thriving, professional-style opera company. We are pleased to announce the date of our major annual fundraising gala, a Grand Encore Affair, on Saturday evening, November 23, 2024, at the beautiful UK Gatton Student Center Ballroom.

The evening will feature the beneficiaries of our work, the UK Opera Theatre students and faculty. They will perform a lively program of popular music and opera favorites accompanied by members of the UK Symphony Orchestra.

Cocktails, an elegant dinner followed by dancing to live music make this a party you won’t want to miss!

You can also look forward to a silent auction with a fabulous array of items! Proceeds from this event will benefit the goals and programming of OperaLex.
