My Name is Xavier, I am a freshman in high school, I have been with the Shoreline Theatre Academy for 8 years, and I have had such a wonderful experience there. I started coming here as a little kid thinking that I wanted to try something new, but little did I know, this brought not only new talents but a big family that I am very proud to be part of. I feel like I grew up here like it was my own home, and every moment I am here, it fumes my heart like fire, the dancing, the singing, the acting, not just for the performance but to be a better person. Maybe at first, I joined because I wanted something new, but now, I feel like I made a new connection with people I now know as people I deeply care about. I think with these people I surround myself with, I have become a leader in the world, to help me with community-building skills in the future. With the skills I have learned from Kidz Konnection and Mrs. Laura, I have won awards for being the "Student of the Year", and treated everyone I meet with kindness and generosity I could have never done it without these people I surround myself with, but I will always have Kidz Konnection as a place of my heart. Kidz Konnection isn't just part of my heart, it's my home, and forever, I will always be grateful for the opportunity I have learned from in the past but am excited for what the future brings us. Now, with the Zip to Script project, raising awareness for teens' mental health, I am excited to carry on a mission to do something for the greater good of the world—that's what Kidz Konnection has done for me.
