Low Tide Arts is a nonprofit community art studio with the mission to expand access to visual arts opportunities in Southwest Seattle. We host art classes and workshops for youth and adults both in our studio and out in the community, including in local parks and Seattle Public Schools. Through our year-round programming, students have sustained access and support to invest in their art and creative practice.

Our youth scholarship program allows us to provide full and partial need-based scholarships for our studio art classes and on-site enrichment programming at local public schools for students ages 4-15, so cost is not a barrier for families. All students have equitable access to:

high quality art supplies
small class sizes and the support of a teaching artist
a creative peer group to build community with

Our scholarship program is 100% funded by the community we serve, and no family is turned away due to lack of funds.

We are currently operating at a deficit of -$334 to cover the cost of scholarships awarded so far in 2026. To celebrate the one year anniversary of opening the studio, we are fundraising throughout the month of February to close this gap and replenish our scholarship fund for the remainder of the year. We would also like to be able to offer at least one summer camp scholarship this summer.
