The story of The Relic Project is one of faith, renewal, and mission.

Founded in 2024 in Spokane, Washington, The Relic Project began with a simple yet profound conviction: that the saints are not relics of the past, but living witnesses still drawing souls to Christ today. After witnessing firsthand the power of sacred relics to move hearts and deepen devotion, founder Anthony Di Mauro envisioned a way to reconnect the modern Church with this ancient treasure of faith.

The Relic Project seeks to create the world’s first global online library and interactive map of first- and second-class relics, allowing the faithful to discover which saints are present in their own communities and to request opportunities for veneration. Through photography, research, and collaboration with churches, monasteries, and collectors worldwide, the initiative is uniting thousands of relics under one mission—to lead souls to Jesus through the saints.

In just its first year, the project grew from a small apostolate into an international movement, forming partnerships across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Its volunteers, known as “Relic Hunters” or “Global Curators,” document, authenticate, and share stories of relics and miracles. Events such as An Evening with the Saints invite communities to encounter relics in person—moments of beauty, silence, and grace where hearts are opened and faith is rekindled.

The Relic Project is a fully self-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating without major institutional backers. Your generosity sustains this mission—preserving relics, transporting them safely, and sharing their stories with the world. All contributions are tax-deductible, and every dollar makes a real impact.

$10,000 – Reliquary Fund: Preserve and protect relics in dignified reliquaries; restore and verify relics that have been damaged or neglected.

$30,000 – Conference Fund: Enable our presence at Catholic conferences and gatherings to introduce others to the beauty and tradition of relics.
