For this year’s annual fundraiser, we are celebrating our founder Yalanis’ 25th birthday! After aging out of the foster care system, Yalanis has emerged as a strong advocate and leader in their community, both in Puerto Rico and out of Puerto Rico. When asked how they overcome adversity, Yalanis always responds the same way: “I am surrounded by the best kinds of people.” Along with their sisters, Valeria and Alana, they embody the power of the supportive community that has uplifted them.
