During a bioregional gathering in Barichara (2025) with regenerative leaders from across the world, I received a warm invitation from Kelseyfaith and Sun Nation to their first-ever «Regen Agent Immersion»🌱 This was an initiation to the sacred lands known as «The Heart of the World» (Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta), stewarded for millennia by the four tribes know as «Humanity's Elder Brothers» (Koguis, Arhuacos, Kankuamos, Wiwa). I got to connect with this beautiful bioregion and its indigenous cultures, and witness the immanent threats from our modern civilization🛖🏔️🦋🔥👀 Burning forests & mountain tops, monocultures & cattle grazing, rapid expansion of cities & infrastructure, plastic pollution & trash everywhere, cultural pollution & loss of traditions, and so on.
I learned through both a scientific and ancestral lense that this is the world's most irreplacable natural area, critical to the health of our entire planet. It's listed by UNESCO as a "Biosphere Reserve", with the ancestral knowledge systems of the indigenous peoples being declared as the «Immaterial Patrimony of Humanity»🌎📜 It is like a small version of our planet, a «living library of the Earth's biodiversity». The mountain range is the most biodiverse in the world, with all the major climate zones and biomes present, and countless species. The mountains shapes weather patterns and water systems that provide freshwater for millions, influence terrestrial and marine ecosystems alike, and create a water pump with the oceans🌦️🏔️🌊
I returned home with an expanded vision of the World, of Humanity’s role in the web of Life, clarity in my personal path, and a clear message and invitation to family and friends: to protect and regenerate The Heart of the World💚🌎
The same Fall, I embarked on the «World Peace Pilgrimage» with a small group of friends🏞️ The journey took us to different sacred sites, communities, regenerative hubs and transformative events across Europe. It was a deep exploration of wisdom traditions, collective consciousness, and reconnecting with Nature and the Sacred🌞 We realized that a world peace pilgrimage had to culminate in a journey back to The Heart of the World, to reconnect with the sacred lands and indigenous Elder Brothers, and support their work for «Peace With Nature»🌱
We received an invitation to do a bioregional immersion, to support development of indigenous peace villages, the «International Regenerative Alliance» (AIR), and the «Peace With Nature» ambassador program💚 This planted the seeds of doing bioregional peace pilgrimages with the indigenous elders as the next stage of the World Peace Pilgrimage🕊️ After a month of immersion, we received an official invitation from the indigenous leaders to join them on a pilgrimage to sacred sites across the territory - to observe, learn, connect, document, support and share about this critical work🗺️
By supporting this bioregional pilot immersion and peace pilgrimage, you are actively protecting and supporting The Heart of the World - preserving indigenous culture & knowledge systems, facilitating territorial governance & bioregional organizing, protecting nature & restoring ecosystems, activating sacred sites & natural systems, enabling documentation & storytelling, weaving relationships & building community, and training the next generation of regenerative changemakers & bioregional bridges🦋
Join the global movement of Peace With Nature ambassadors, become a friend of The Heart of the World, and support us in learning how we can regenerate our planet🌎 💚
