What do I wear to the Spring Gala?
The Spring Gala welcomes attire that feels comfortable and festive. Many guests choose cocktail attire, while others have fun incorporating the year’s theme.

This year’s theme, Nightmare at the Museum, is a formal evening gala with a macabre twist. You are encouraged to dig into your subconscious and turn your nightmares into visual fashion and accessories. Dress in elegant attire with a hint of the uncanny — inspired by gothic romance, grand old mansions, and classic mystery films. Think dramatic, stylish, and a little haunting. Dark palettes, rich textures, vintage accessories, or subtle theatrical details are all welcome.

Where is Plains Art Museum? Where is parking?
Plains Art Museum is located downtown at 704 First Ave N Fargo, ND 58102. Parking is available in the lot south of the Museum, and there is also parking ramps, the Robert Commons Garage and NP Garage, with free weekend parking within a 5-minute walk to Plains Art Museum.

What does the Spring Gala support?
All proceeds benefit Plains Art Museum. Plains Art Museum is the largest and only accredited art museum in North Dakota, a distinction held by only ~3% of museums in the nation. Last year, the Museum served about 57,000 people, including established and emerging artists, tourists from all over the world, indigenous youth, community members with Autism, the area’s workforce, families, and more. Galleries are open every day of the week about 360 days per year, and admission is FREE. In addition to displaying high-quality art, Plains Art Museum is home to a print studio, a ceramic studio, and a 2D art studio space. Classes and programs often draw inspiration from the galleries. The Museum ensures art education is accessible through scholarships for community classes as well as a roster of FREE public programs.
